Tree of Connection

Tree of Connection
Trees stay strong because all their parts — roots, trunk, branches — work as a team. Together they grow, adapt and thrive through the seasons. Our connections with ourselves, our communities, and the environment do the same. They give us balance, strength, and support when things feel challenging.
This activity explores how nature can help you identify the connections you have across the different areas of your life.
What you’ll do:
- Learn about how each part of a tree helps it grow and stay strong.
- Reflect on how your connections help you in similar ways.
- Create a picture of a tree.
- Then, identify the connections you have that relate to each part of the tree (e.g., trunk, roots, branches and leaves).
Tips:
- You can do this on your own or with family, friends, or classmates.
- If you’re completing this activity at school, put everyone’s trees on display in a “group connection forest.”
