Dr. Fun

Dr. Fun

A prescription is a note from a doctor that tells a pharmacist what medicine you need and how to use it.

But not all prescriptions come from a pharmacy. Sometimes the best medicine is fun and connection—doing meaningful things and spending time with people who care about you. These can include talking with a friend, being outdoors, joining a club, playing a sport, helping someone else, and much more!

This activity helps you think about how connection and meaningful activities can support your well-being.

What you’ll do:

  • Pretend you’re “Dr. Fun,” a social doctor who prescribes connection by coming up with creative and fun activity suggestions.
  • You can work on your own or with a friend or classmate to brainstorm ideas.

Tips:

  • Think about different ways to lift someone’s mood, like outdoor activities, group projects, or talking with a trusted adult.
  • Use the list of feelings as a guide, but feel free to add your own.
  • Team up with friends or family members to compare ideas and get inspired.
  • Be creative. Fun prescriptions can be anything that makes someone feel included and valued.
