Great Friends Are…

Great Friends Are…
Reflecting on what makes a good friend helps you better understand yourself and others. When we know what matters most to us, we can build better connections.
This activity helps you think about the qualities you value in a friend and learn what your classmates look for in their friendships.
What you’ll do:
- Create “Great Friends Are…” posters.
- Describe the qualities you value in friendships and reflect on what makes you a good friend.
- Then, share your ideas with other students and learn what your classmates value in a friend.
Tips:
- If you’re feeling stuck, think about someone you’re close to in your life (e.g., sibling, parent/caregiver, coach). What qualities do they have that you like?
- Work with a group of students, or your whole class, to create “Great Friends Are…” posters. Combine everyone’s ideas about what makes a great friend.
